Barn Renovations

As you already know, I adore barn conversions - especially if they preserve the integrity of the original structure and there is an ounce of warmth to them. They have a tendency to go too contemporary and the coziness of a barn is lost so walking a fine line is difficult to do. Charlie Harper

I have always been a fan of Charlie Harper - even before I knew who he was. I grew up with images of him around me and I am a huge proponent for art education at a young age. I know some people are against the commercialization of his work and others in this type of format but I think its great. Harper's work lends itself perfectly to children's illustration and games and all the books and puzzles are beautifully done.

Calendar

Gradients can be so trite and overdone but this self promotional 2008 calendar by Jonathon Davies is so exquisitely done that I love everything about it. The typography, the palette choices, the size and composition - it is just a fantastic piece of design.
