Purple dyes were once a rare commodity - only royalty could afford goods in the precious color. This season - purple is a HUGE trend. All shades from lavender to magenta are on clothes, accessories and stationery. This is why I think it will make the ideal theme color for my friend's upcoming wedding. I think it will be tastefully perfect for an October wedding that is going to be traditional and stylish.
Posh Girl Vintage is an online retailer that offers basically one-of-a-kind vintage apparel from all decades of the twentieth century. I check their dresses from time to time with hopes of someday having an occasion to wear one to. They are fun to look at and reminisce about my grandmother - who owned an extensive costume jewelry collection and grew up in an era where skirts were the dress code for everyday.
